作为课题负责人先后主持国家自然科学基金项目（5项）、国家863课题（2项）、国家重点研发计划子课题、北京市科技计划课题、横向课题等，作为骨干成员参加国家973、国家863等课题多项。
研究成果及获奖情况：
长期从事先进化学电源与能源材料的研究与开发，兼任中国超级电容产业联盟副秘书长、Nano-Micro Letters和Chinese Chemical Letters编委。在Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Energy Storage Materials, Advanced Science等SCI期刊论文160余篇，总引用13000余次。授权发明专利30余件，出版专著1部，获全国优秀博士学位论文提名和省部级科技进步二等奖2项。
